Jandal day!

Yellow and orange it is a jandal I put on a jandal it looks funny on me. I didn't were jandals but I got a juice. I like the jandal.
I like the jandal we took a photo of each other.
It was National Jandal day.



I loved doing topic work in 2011..

Athletics day

It was Athletics day on Wednesday it was so fun and I loved it. There were a lot of people cheering us on.



We did 60 metre sprints , 100 metre sprints and 200 metre sprints.



We did long jump, high jump and throwing but I did not do high jump and class relays.



I love 200 metre sprints year!!!!!!!!!.

High Jump!!!

"That is really high Mrs Paraha". Today room 8 practiced high jump. Tomorrow is athletics it is going to be fun !!! :) There is going to be lots of Activies. Only the Middle Syndicate and Senior Syndicate are doing it but lets get back to practicing. We were all going to go on high jump. Summer got over the highest she showed that she can go high so she helped me persevere on high jump. I'm glad she is in room8.:) !!!!!!

Managing myself

Room8 are managing ourself's to get our 10 ticks. If we don't get our 10 ticks we can"t go to Ngaruawahia picnic. To get 10 ticks I need to work on not talking to anyone and sit up nicely. I need 7 more ticks.

Flax Flowers

In room 8 we made flax flowers. We went through lots of steps to make green flax flowers. They take along time to go brown. The best thing about it was we had a visitor from room 6. She was Maori and thaught us how to make them, the class was happy. I can't wait until we do it again.

Rugby World Cup

Today room 8 had to dress up wearing all red. We got to wear a rugby top. We went to the assembly and showed off our colours. "U.S.A, U.S.A" we said. Every class had a different country to support. There were lots of colours. Flags were waving up and down. Side to side.

YAY... go ALL BLACKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Current Events

On Thursdays room8 did current events. Some people forgot their current events. We all had groups. Some people got shy but we had to persevere by not being shy. There were lots of news. People were brave and spoke clearly. The thing that I enjoyed was being with my group and sharing my news.

Ukulele music

In class we made music with ukuleles. Mrs Paraha got a shinny white one. I learnt that you can hold down the strings. I'm glad that I use perseverence and did not give up. I got a shinny brown one. I am happy that we did this because it was my first time playing a ukulele.

Cats and kittens

In room8 we wrote reports and we made videos. Each person made a video. Some people read from pieces of paper and others read from the laptop. A little group of people read from their learning log.

Sugary drinks

In room8 we were learning about sugary drinks. Coke has caffine in it. Caffine can make your heart beat faster and faster and it can stop. Juice drink has more sugar than fruit juice.

In room8 we made posters but they weren't ordinary posters. They are pretty because they had lots of colour. If we need any help we could ask Mrs Paraha.

Bridges are fun

When Waiwai and I made our bridge I was quite happy with it. I was surprised that it held lots of stuff I was proud of it. I loved it.

Staying at my cousin house

Today and yesterday i have been staying at my cousin house. I have had a lot of fun playing with my cousin Matthias i have also used paint on the computer.

Bridges

Today in class we made same paper bridges. we only were allowd to use one piece of paper and we couldd only cut it once or rip it and it was a challenging to hold up a toy car we found out bridges have to be thick and strong.

My goals for term 2

I am learning to practise my maths like knowing my basic facts reallt quickly.

I am also learning to do to do the splits in cheerleading.

My fun last day at school

It is the start of the holiday's.It is the last dayof school.We had assembly Mr Freak drow the ester raffle.

Shadow experiment

Room 8 did a Shadow experiment we got a piece of chalk and a partner so they can trace our Shadow. We came back to the shadows every hour but they had moved.
