My Grass Head Before and After Photos!

These are some before and after pictures the first picture is the before picture it was just 1 week old in the secound picture is when we got to be hair dressers and give it a trim or tie it up.

The Milk Tanker and Warran

On Monday there is a milk tanker driver is coming to Vardon school and Rebecca's dad Warran is coming to Vardon school. They are going to teach us about our topic From Milk to Ice cream. Speaking of ice cream ........ Warran is getting a ice cream truck to come and give every one in the whole school even the staff a nice refreshing ice cream. I can't wait it sounds crazy but its not. So be here on Monday!

Grass Heads

Room 8 made grass heads we each made one. I have a cat called Tyler she is cute we water our   grass heads once a day.  Room 8 put grass seeds in first and then soil we tied a knot at the end of the stocking. We decorated it with googly eyes and bendy fluffy stuff. I like mine I can't wait until the grass starts sprouting!

Making butter

On Monday we made butter from cream.  We put the cream in to jars and shook it. When it was lumpy we separated the butter from the butter milk and we rinsed it with water ,then poured it out. Mrs Paraha dished the butter on a plate. We got to have a piece of bread with butter.

Board games

Room 8 got new board games. We got into different groups in my group we had Kaspar,Baki,Cloe and me (Sarah).
We had different games, there was emotions, feelings, what would you do and acting out. We did acting out it was fun.
I learnt how to say things differently using different emotions.

Colour Our World!!!

Yay it's the production. Vardon school had a production called Colour Our World. Rm 8,Rm 14 and Rm 4 were all the Garden group. It was colourful on stage. My favourite things was the acting. Cool Charlie was my favourite actor she was funny. I liked singing and dancing to flower power! The things I didn't like were standing in the cold and I didn't like that my flower head hurt my forehead. The end was so amazing there were party poppers. The coolest part was singing

Production practice

We have been doing production practice for about 4 weeks. We are doing this to have fun and learn what to do in a play. Rm 8, rm 4 and rm 14 are doing  the Garden group. I am in the flower group, it's fun. I'm really looking forward to seeing my mum,  Nana and my brother at our production. I hope were the best. :)

Wrap free Wednesday

Today is wrap free Wednesday. I had no wraps at all, it was surprising to see not many wrappers now room 8 isn't going to have lots of wrappers. One thing that was hard for me to find things that would be good to put in my lunch box. We were only allowed  snap lock bags and containers some people bought food in wrappers. I think I did well!:):D

We did this so we save the environment.

London Olympics 2012

This year is the Olympics ...but what I really want to know is who made the Olympics? and why do they do the Olympics? 
The first Olympics was in Greece. Baron Pierre de Coubertin started a group to organise the games to be in other countries.


I know that there is lots of sports in the Olympics and they compete for their country. This year I'm really looking forward to the Olympics because I can watch it on t.v.

My Yummy Cake!

I have made a cake for the cake stall it looks so yummy. I spent all night doing it. I have a butter cake on the bottem, I have cup cakes on the top with sprinkles and icing. We are doing this for senior camp fundraising. I HOPE I WIN the cake competitoion.

Toast

Room 8  made toast. My favourite part was when I got to eat the yummy toast . Nikita and I had ours after lunch when we got back from  Arbor Day it was yummy. We  made toast because we were writing a procedure of making our OWN breakfast.

Speeches

Room 8 is doing speeches. This week we heard some speeches I also read a speech it was called Tyler and Me! I think my eye contact was good but I think I should practise on a louder voice. I also got in to the speech finals, well only in room8 it was exciting.I hope I get in the middle syndicate finals.

Kindness week

WOW I got Mrs Paraha.Room 8 is doing random acts of kindness week. I got Mrs P OUT OF THE HAT. The first day I baked her a cake. She was suprised I felt kinder.
When I looked in my tote tray I got a suprise, I got a piece of cake too. It was a yum cake!

I feel kinder more things for others.

ANZAC Day

ANZAC day is to remember the soldiers that fought and died in the wars. ANZAC day is always on the 25 of April. ANZAC day is important for the people and families that have lost other family members that died in wars.

ANZAC biscuits are called ANZAC biscuits because they were made when the war was happening. The wives used to make them and send them to their husbands at war.

Movie Afternoon - The holidays

In the holidays I went to the movies to see Mirror Mirror. It was funny and cool. My favourite part when Snow White found her father.
